The Twelfth Night of Christmas

The Twelfth Night of Christmas

Chiswick House Christmas

21 November – 4 January

This Christmas, step inside Chiswick House and explore the imagined world of Duchess Georgiana of Devonshire and the most fabulous Twelfth Night party.

For the first time, Chiswick House opens its doors at Christmas, inviting you on a self-guided journey through transformed rooms inspired by the beloved Twelve Days of Christmas carol. Each space is brought to life with handcrafted decorations, bespoke sculptures, immersive tableaux and exquisite costuming – all designed and handmade especially for this event by CLW Event Design (Castle Howard, Bamburgh Castle. Kensington Palace) in collaboration with Underbelly (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Macbeth with Ralph Fiennes).

Featured on A Very British Christmas (Channel 4), this is no ordinary festive experience – it’s a contemporary celebration of Georgian glamour, creativity, and tradition.

Wander through opulent rooms, peep chambers, and a grand banquet scene, and don’t forget to join the Christmas Mouse Trail: a fun and festive search for Bonnie and Bertie, two mischievous mice hiding throughout the House.

Best of all, by attending, you’re supporting Chiswick House and Gardens. Every ticket sold helps preserve this historic site for generations to come.

A joyful, imaginative experience for families, friends, and festive seekers of all ages.

Getting Here

To ensure a smooth and stress-free arrival to the event, we strongly recommend use of local public transport.

Chiswick House is a 10-minute walk from Chiswick railway station, accessible from Waterloo station. The nearest Underground station is Turnham Green on the District Line, which is a 25-minute walk away. There are also several bus stops just a two-minute walk from Chiswick House, along Burlington Lane and Great Chertsey Road.

The public car park has space for 60 cars, including three spaces for Blue Badge holders, and is operated by Hounslow Council. It is situated just off the westbound A4 and clearly marked by a brown tourist board entrance sign. Chiswick House is a 5-minute walk from the public car park whilst the Gardens are open, or a 10-15 minute walk once the gates close.

The gates to the gardens will close at 5pm so for anyone booked from 4pm onwards, we recommend entering and exiting via the Great Chertsey Road Gate entrance on Burlington Lane.
